Time and again you cast a glance on the wide fields of virgin snow on the left, on the rapid snowy mountain scarps and mountain edges on the right and on the many kilometers’ long slope down the glacier of the gorge in front of you. You imagine your trace on these snow-covered slopes. Your mind and body begin to seek for more. You want to leave the already mapped out and well-worn route. Now you have such an opportunity !

Freeride that is free skiing in high mountains opens up new vistas for you. It presents a new view and allows seeing familiar mountains from the other angle. Freeride gives you the freedom of choice. However, Freeride requires certain experience, knowledge and skills. It is a new level of ski or snowboard mastering. Freeride gives an opportunity to feel oneself confident when skiing or boarding on different terrain and at different quality of snow pack beginning with the powder-snow to the firn snow slopes. Freeride is the ability and skill to feel the relief of a mountain and to use it for choosing the safest routes. And the most important point is that you need to have the associates when practicing free skiing.
We form the group of people devoted to Freeride and Heli-ski in the high mountains. It is HELIKAUKAS.COM. Its members are experienced riders, guides, ski and board instructors, sportsmen and mountain-rescues. For them Freeride became the profession and the lifestyle. We desined and tested Freeride, backcountry and Heli-ski programmes on the most challenging mountainous terrain of Caucusus that is around-Elbrus, Dombai and in Krasnaya Polyana. Dozens and hundreds of people have already left the well-travelled routes with us. And the fact that many of them have made it for the first time is really great. We offer a range of routes and programmes that differ from each other in terms of necessary skills and experience for everyone who decides to leave the well-worn slopes.
If you feel quite confident when skiing down the already mapped out route and you are in a good fit, why don’t you try skiing with our guides down the virgin slopes of the most beautiful site of the Western Caucasus. The routes of the Gonachkhirsky gorge, the down-run to Russkaya Poliana and to the Dombai valley Ulgen will leave you overwhelming and vivid impressions. The ocean of snow, the sharp cliffs and mountain edges are awaiting for you. You will undoubtedly enjoy the down-runs.
